Q.      HOW DO I BOOK AN ACTIVITY?

  • A. To make a booking request, contact us via e-mail or use the contact form here on the website. It is wise to provide as much information as possible regarding what kind of experience you are looking for when making your request; information such as dates of interest, how many adults vs. children you are and if you have any concerns.
This way you make it easier for us to quickly get back to you with an answer on what we have to offer you.

Please note! Your booking is not valid until you have received a booking confirmation from us by email.

Q.      HOW DO WE PAY?

  • A. We use a pre-payment method through invoice or Swish (Sweden). The booking should normally be paid no later than 7 days before the booked tour.
You will always receive a PDF-invoice/ receipt by e-mail where all the details are stated.

Q.      WHAT IS THE POLICY CONCERNING TOUR CANCELLATIONS?

  • A. In case of cancellations you can contact us by mail or telephone - please note that a cancellation must be made as soon as there is a reason not to carry out your booked tour.
From the time of booking up to 7 days before the booked tour, 75% of the price is refunded. If cancelled later than 7 days prior to booked tour, you will be required to pay 100% of the total price of the booking.
Please note that the best way to reach us is always by textmessage or e-mail during wintertime, as we are often out on tours with varying phone coverage and cannot always answer your call. We will always get back to you to confirm that we have received your cancellation.
Note that you are personally responsible for ensuring that you have a cancellation cover through your insurance company.

Also note that we may cancel tours if the weather conditions are deemed to pose a safety risk to the dogs and/or you. If a tour is cancelled by us you will always be fully refunded, or you can choose to change the date of the tour day or pick out a gift card that corresponds to the whole amount.

Q.      HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN WE BOOK ON ONE TOUR?

  • A. Generally, we take company of 1-4 people per occasion. Exceptions can be made depending on the type of activity/experience you request. To the extent we have the opportunity, we try to adapt the experience according to your wishes. If you want to be a larger group than four people, it is always best to email and talk to us about how to arrange an adventure that is tailor made just for you.

Q.      HOW MANY CAN WE SIT ON ONE SLED?

  • A. It is not always easy to answer how many you can fit on a single sled as there are many factors that determine this, such as; the weight of a passenger, snow/trail conditions and the weather conditions. Another factor that determines how many we can carry on the sled is also the terrain/ route as well as the type of tour you want.
The easiest thing is always to ask at the time of booking and we will do as best we can to provide an answer of what you can expect.
A general guideline is that we can take 2-4 people on a sled at the same time, of which a maximum of 2 adults+ 2 kids, or 3 adults.
    However, this is no guarantee!

Q.      HOW SHOULD WE DRESS FOR OUR BOOKED TOUR?

  • A. The weather in the Swedish mountains and the surrounding area can be quite erratic, so we always recommend keeping an eye on the prevailing weather forecasts.
Two or three days before your booked tour, an information letter will be sent to the email from which you made your booking - in that email we will inform you about the weather forecast for the date of your booked tour and how/ if it may affect your experience.

Generally, we always recommend you to dress for a day spent outdoors; windproof, water-repellent and preferably durable (as far as possible) outerwear is a good idea.
We also advice you to make sure to keep yourself warm, even when temperatures are milder - it gets colder than you think, sitting on a sled behind running dogs.
It is especially important to keep your extremities such as head, hands and feet dry and warm.

Goggles may also be a good idea to bring, especially in case of snowfall or powdery/ wet snow. In the case of wet snow, small snowballs can sometimes come flying from the dogs' paws.

Q.     WE DON´T  HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE AROUND DOGS - CAN WE BOOK ANYWAYS?

  • A. It is possible to book tours with us regardless of how much experience you have around dogs or dogsledding. However, it is always valuable for us to know how you feel regarding contact with the dogs. It facilitates our job of creating a good experience for you if we know in advance that you have a low experience around dogs/ animals or if someone in the group feels a little insecure/ scared. Of course, we will take this information into account.

Our dogs are mostly young and highly social. They are all very kind and cuddly, but the youngsters can sometimes be a bit rowdy and michievious in their way of seeking contact - which is good to know in advance if someone is inexperienced or unsure around dogs. Our dogs often like to stand with their front legs up against our upper bodies to get closer to the face when they greet us and they love to give us big kisses, but we have a full understanding of that not everyone enjoys such close contact.
Do not hesitate to let us know if you feel uncomfortable or insecure, we will make sure everyone has a pleasant experience.

Q.      ARE WE ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES ON OUR TOUR AND CAN WE SHARE THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

  • A. Of course, you are more than welcome to photograph, film and document your experience with us. Feel free to tell us if you want help taking group photos - we'll gladly help you!
If you share photos on social media, we will of course be very happy if you tag or link to us so that we can see and share your pictures. Sometimes we ask if we can take or borrow a picture of you to share on our own social media - you obviously have full control over it.

To tag us on Instagram you can use @hundspannlofsdalen or #hundspannlofsdalen, #raxeira_huskies and on Facebook you can search for Raxeira Huskies.

Q.      HOW DO YOU HANDLE OUR PERSONAL DATA?
